I'm Roy Chan Wai Kuen — entrepreneur, consultant, educator, and now a coach. Over 10+ years I've worked at the intersection of business, people, and growth. Coaching is where those three finally became one thing.

As founder of Step Forward Consultancy (since 2016), I've helped 100+ Hong Kong SMEs secure government funding and go digital — managing 50+ projects at once, always on time. I've sat with founders on their hardest days. I know how lonely the top can be.
People, at scale
Before that, I led HR at the Hong Kong Jockey Club — relocating professionals, handling 12,000+ part-time placements, navigating cross-border complexity. My master's is in Strategic Human Resources Management. Understanding people isn't a soft skill to me. It's the whole game.
The educator's heart
Today I lecture on Entrepreneurship at HKBU (500+ students, 4.2/5), and I mentor young people through STRIVE & RISE and YMCA A Life Academy. Watching someone realise what they're capable of — that never gets old.
Why I coach
